Enter readings at the device
The form shows only the fields for that assembly type. The app calculates pass or fail from your readings and flags missing measurements. If it fails, record the repair and the final test on the same record.

Backflow Log tracks test intervals and deadlines. Confirm the required schedule with the water system and adjust each device’s interval when needed, including for seasonal service.
- RP assemblies: semiannual retest tracking by default.
- DC assemblies: annual retest tracking by default.
- Failures: the 14-day repair-and-retest clock, on your dashboard.
- Credentials: reminders before your tester certification expires and when your gauge calibration is over a year old.
- History: every recorded test, searchable — useful evidence when your certification renewal asks for it.
Private by design
Your customers stay your customers.
There is no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, or Good Little Apps data server. The app makes no network connections of its own.
Local records
Customers, devices, readings, and signatures are kept in the app's on-device store. Backflow Log does not upload them.
Deliberate sharing
Report PDFs are created locally. They leave the app only when you choose a destination in Apple's share sheet.
No developer cloud
Good Little Apps holds no server copy of your records. Protect your device and keep a backup in a location you control.
Your own backup
Export everything to one file and put it wherever you keep records — iCloud Drive, Dropbox, a folder on your Mac. It is your copy, not ours.
You can delete it
Delete records in the app at any time. Removing the app removes its local data, subject to your Apple backup settings.

Backflow Log is an independent recordkeeping tool for certified testers. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, MassDEP or any public water system. The inspection PDF is a Massachusetts-style report, not the official MassDEP form. Confirm required fields and acceptance with each water system. The separate Massachusetts repair and retest form is not generated by the app. Follow your certification training and current requirements for test procedure.
